Aussie Logic  Kool & Kalm ULS is an ultra low starch version of Kool & Kalm. It has been specially formulated for those horses which have been prescribed a low starch diet due to their having Equine Metabolic Syndrome, Insulin Resistance or other condition requiring a low starch feed.

Aussielogic Kool & Kalm ULS can be safely fed to all horses.  Kool & Kalm ULS feed does not require any additional additives to be fed to the horse as all vitamins and minerals necessary for optimal health are contained in the feed.

Kool & Kalm ULS is an extruded feed made with all natural ingredients and no by products or fillers. It is made to a fixed formula not a least cost formulation so that the feed will remain the same the year round.

Kool & Kalm ULS  is made with a wet steam extrusion process which increases the digestibility of the feed to +/- 95% and the particle size is such that it can be used for all ages of horses, from foals to geriatric horses

While there is some starch in Kool & Kalm ULS (it is essential to the manufacturing process) the starch has been modified by the steam extrusion process so that it will be slowly absorbed into the blood stream and will have  little effect on the blood sugar levels

Kool & Kalm ULS contains kelp meal(Ascophyllum nodosum) which  supplies organic iodine, sulfonated short chain polysaccharides and L-fucose. These working  together with the minerals in the mineral pack may  assist in improving nerve function, blood flow and memory, as well as controlling gram negative bacteria in the intestinal tract. Kool & Kalm ULS also  contains Yucca extract which reduces the odor of manure and urine helping to control flies in the stable area.
